About Us
At Parachutes for Pets (PFP) we understand and celebrate the human-animal bond and proactively work towards building stronger community support systems to protect the connection between people and their animals. But doing so in today’s environment is no easy task. Our city’s shelters and rescues are battling the highest capacity levels we have ever seen, and guardians are struggling to give their animals the necessary medical and physical care they need. And while Parachutes is not a rescue organization, we are committed to providing the needed social supports to keep families together and keep pets out of the shelters. Together, we work with our partners to help seniors, veterans, low-income families, and people experiencing houselessness work towards better health and welfare for their pets through accessible programs and resources. Sometimes, a single bag of food can be the difference between keeping a pet or feeling like you have to give them up.
